I just finished The Collector, by John Fowles. This is an old book, from 1963.
I found it in my husband's book stash....he read it for a college course decades ago. It was very good.
I am now reading Snakes in Suits--

I have read 2 other sociopath/psychopath books, and this one is an extension of those. Dr. Hare is excellent and has opened the definition of psychopathy to a more general occurance. The place where I used to work was fraught with "problems" and this book puts those into an understandable perspective, albeit a disturbing one. The psychopath in the workplace!
Cringe! Not all psychopaths end up as serial killers like you see in the media...many are married and have white collar/professional jobs. What they do there at work can be a nightmare!
(Imagine a psychopath with access to DRUGS!)
I also picked up the NEW Nora Roberts/JD Robb... just out...Strangers in Death.
This one is not at all like the preceding one.. much slower going. I actually like this pace a bit better...the last one was TOO rough for me.
This weekend is our library sale... I am itching to go on Sat morning for my vacation stash. LOL
