Default Doctors and the forums!

I just wanted to mention an email I received. We often talk about who are good doctors and who aren't--what we like and what we do not, where to go, where not to go. I am very impressed with a doctor who does actually read in the forums. I had mentioned in here that I had very much wanted to see Dr. Gudesblatt here on Long Island, and could not get an appt with him for 3-4 months, and was given an appt with another doctor, who I am not very happy with. Dr. Gudesblatt actually reads in this forum and saw my post, and was very disappointed to hear how upset I was. He emailed Doc John, left his email addy with him so he could get in touch with me, letting me decide if I still wanted to see him. I emailed him, explaining about my celiac disease, B12 problems, and neuropathy, he emailed me back within 15 minutes, and I was given a consultation appt within 6 weeks. I will be seeing him on June 16th. Dr. Gudesblatt comes very highly recommended and it truly impresses me that he reads in these forums. I had actually found another doctor I was going to call for an appt, so I am very happy he emailed me when he did--thank you Dr. Gudesblatt!

We urge all doctors to take time to listen to your patients.. don't "isolate" symptoms but look at the whole spectrum. If a patient tells you s/he feels as if s/he's falling apart and "nothing seems to be working properly", chances are s/he's right!
