You are exactly correct. We as HGTV Addicts are addicted to the HGTV channel and many of us are addicted to the HGTV message boards!! I've been saying for years that we need a 12 step program to help us with our addiction!! My TV stays on the channel most of the day and night, even if it is just background noise. I love a lot of the shows but lately a lot of them have gotten kinda silly. I still love it though and I like it 'cause I can turn it on and not have to worry about what my children are seeing on TV. If you are at all interested in decorating, design or real estate, then this is for you!!

Nice to meet you!!

Okay, I'll bite. What exactly do they show on this channel? Movies, recipes, (like the Food Network??), That's the OTHER channel that my friend watches. I would call her on the phone and she would say "Ssh, Tyler Florence is on". I had to look up who this guy was. Seems he 's a famous chef. He was also on Oprah the other day.

I can only imagine what would happen if I watched the Food Network. I have had to change ALL of my eating habits. I once watched Paula Dean and I COULD NOT BELIEVE WHAT THAT WOMAN COOKS WITH. Butter, cream?? I never laughed so hard.

Not good for diabetics or over-weight people. I do love the way she talks though.

So tell me, is HGTV, like a channel to teach you how to re-arrange your furniture, or what?? I'm really serious. I have no idea what this channel shows.

Thanks much.

P.S. I'm addicted to Sci-Fi, and tech stuff. Not dumb sci fi movie with special effects, but GOOD QUALITY sci-fi shows that talk about Tachyon emissions, and flux capacitors, etc.

Last night I just saw the remake of THE ANDROMEDA STRAIN. They actually remade this movie. (with all name stars). It's a 2 hour miniseries. Boy was that a good movie. All 200 minutes of it!!!
