Default Scalene Block Last Wednesday

Dear TOS friends & fam,
Last Wednesday Dr. Jordan did the scalene block on my right side. Boy, was I nervous knowing I had to be awake while he injected my 4 scalenes muscles in the neck.

This site tells & shows it all! THANKS: HOPELIVESHERE! XXOO
http://www.nysora.com/techniques/int...lock/#overview.

The anesthesiologist did give me some happy juice but still had to be awake in order for Dr. J to know if I felt anything while he injected it or used a muscular electrical current stimulator.

It really wasn't so bad considering the off the scale pain I'm in all the time, just the fear. When they wheeled me back in recovery my scalenes, brachial plexus & pectoral minor was hurting so bad. So, they gave me iv injections to take the pain away. By the time Dr. J came by I was hurting from the procedure & out of it simultaneously. He asked if it worked. All
I could say is that I hurt! He said,"then it didn't work".

BUT WAIT!
Phil drove me home, we stopped for lunch & I actually ate with my right hand. WENT HOME SWEPT THE PORCH, what (?), fiddled around & fell asleep maybe a hour after poor Phil did. I woke up & started dinner (ME), lifting pots, tossing a salad and served Phil with a plate. WHAT THE HECK? NO PAIN, NO STIFFNESS. Next, morning I woke up & I could move, no stiffness, able to breathe deeply and no exercises needed.

All I can say is that I have done typical pre-Cyndy things all over the house the last 5 days. Even went to the mall ( clothes & make-up) for 3 hours today for the first time in 8 years, what? Something had to have happened right.

Phil suggested I keep a journal for Dr. Jordan.
Temporary procedure for pain or not I love to be back into the living. Phil can see it in my posture, my face & voice! hehe

So, for all those TOS patients out there. It's another diagnostic procedure that finally helped. Weather it's a pectoral minor block, brachial plexus
block, stellate ganglion block we have got to try it.

XXOO
