Thanks for responding.
He does not have any symptoms.
He went to the ENT because he thought he had wax in his ears. We had treated him at home with the drug store stuff for wax, but he wasn't satisfied.
The doc said he had a lot of hair in one of his ears and cut it out for him. She said that the hair could account for the feeling of having something in there.
A vision examination showed scars on one drum that she said was from his childhood and healed except for one tiny tiny hole.
She put the tape on and told him not to go swimming.
Of course, I don't know exactly what happened because I didn't get to go to the appointment with him -- he does these things on his own.
That's good to know that Thiamine is not toxic
