Well...... I work at the Johnson Space Center. I'm actually the Center Operations Directorate Mission Manager for STS-124 (the next shuttle flight). I get every third mission.
I'm in and out of the control room so ya might get a glimpse of me on NASA TV. I don't have a console there. My "desk" (I use this term loosely) is in the mission control power plant. I rotate between the White FCR, FCR-1, Blue FCR, and Red FCR (flight control rooms - shuttle, space station, hubble, training respectively).
I kinda like my job. SSssshhh - don't tell NASA that I have MS. They don't know. I'm not a contractor - I'm NASA direct.

Oh - your video link - that's shuttle FCR. Juan was mission manager for that mission. I was off - doing my non mission job (engineer - projects).
