Apparently a lot of people get this, even without MS, but it is more common in MS. That's what my specialist told me when I asked about them anyway.
For me, so far all my spasms (where-ever they appear), are temporary. They usually last for 3 - 4 weeks, and they might occur with nothing else 'apparently' going on with the disease.
I actually thought the twitch was in my eyeball, but you are right that it is the lid or other area around the eye. What I have learned to do when those come on, is to just press against it with my finger. That usually stops it for a little while. Now if someone can tell me an alternative for dealing with the "tush" ones (that wouldn't attract too much attention publically) . . . that would be good.
