I'm not sure if these links are all still valid, but this is a list of Drug Assistance Programs that I kept once upon a time:

1.) www.pparx.org

2.) http://www.rarediseases.org/

3.) www.edhayes.com/indigent.html

4.) www.themedicineprogram.com/

5.) www.pharmwell.com/indigent.htm

There are others too, and the drug companies often offer the meds cheaper for those who can't afford them.

Many people use online pharmacies, and in fact insurance companies require some people to because they can be cheaper.

In this story, the guy took too many meds, and that is what killed him . . . not the source. One could argue that he shouldn't have had access to them without a rx and then there wouldn't have been a problem . . . which may be true. However, he was a grown man, and if he isn't going to take the time to figure out what constitutes an "overdose" (no doubt there was info on that provided with the med), then nothing would have stopped him from being an idiot anyway. People have to take responsibility for their own choices too.

I know a lot of people who were refused a rx for LDN (and other meds) by their doctors, and went the route of getting it online. I don't personally like this method of obtaining drugs only because we don't know where they are sourcing the med . . . however, I threatened going this route when my doc wouldn't rx me LDN at first too. I said "either you give it to me, or I'll find it my own way". If I didn't have this option, I'd probably still be wall-walking, peeing myself daily, and crippled up into a pretzel.
