I read the article and it is a good article. Just to add that a lot of the food you eat also has Vitamin D not just milk. It's important to eat a healthy, balanced diet although I'm sure there are those who do not.

At the end of the article they say about 20 minutes of sunlight. I have read elsewhere (reputable) that light skinned people need less sunlight than darker skinned people. This would make sense.

In my youth, when it is so very important to be drinking milk, eating the right foods, getting exercise, and getting enough sunshine, is the way I was brought up. This was just a natural thing to do with all the manual hard work I used to have to do. That all contributed to having strong bones, teeth, etc. Also, osteoporosis as with heart disease, etc. can be inherited as well. Nowadays it seems that too many young people are just drinking pop and juice. And, of course, some people can be allergic to milk but there are alternatives.

Here is a good site: http://ods.od.nih.gov/factsheets/vitamind.asp

At any rate, it is a good article and people should be checked to see that they do have enough Vitamin D. Thank you
