Will meet with my clinical supervisor today, as she has now observed me 2 times. I will not fight her, just be as resigned and polite as I can. Whatever she says I will listen and learn. I HAVE learned from her tho disagree as well.

Yesterday I shadowed the Hospice clinical meeting for a job I have applied for. Tomorrow I will be shadowing one of the social workers on a call in a nursing home. This is part of the interviewing process.

I really like the spirtual aspect of this position, and the energy from these nurses/social workers is good. I do not have clinical experience in hospice work, but have with my father who passed in a beautiful hospice. AND I bring to them my own spiritual strengths and social worker skills.

WE'll see.

Have you read my post on my last MS neuro visit? HE said to me, that I do not have MS. Although I have new symptoms that persist, the basics of my neuro exams are good. Even tho I cannot do the heel to toe, or walk on my toes (my ankles now lock up due to spastiicity getting worse). Vision gets blurry for no apparent reason in spite of new glasses. Then it clears up..then it gets blurry. Hmmm...

Asked about the newest lesion on the PONS since 2005, which no one mentioned or seemed concerned about it. I have "good neuro exams" tho I have many lesions. He knew about the lesion on the PONS as he made me believe he reviews my chart before coming into the exam room.

So I guess its not a concern?

Yet I DO have autonomic episodes that present as strokes or "altered consciousness" as the ER writes. That both my neuros take very seriously. My last Rhuemie said he thinks my severe dry eyes/mouth are part of an autonomic dysfunction. But does not need to see me for anything he treats. He also ruled out fibromyalgia. Both rheumies did...hmmm..

So... I continue with my goal of eliminating as many docs/meds as I can. See my nutritionist and be grateful that I do not have any serious disorders.

i remain here, tho a permanent fixture now, as a support to you all~!

I GET IT !!! LOL

Warmly, Jan

Jan,

What kind of position are you applying for? Hospice nurse or social worker? I just had my school internship last semester in Hospice as a social worker, it was a great experience This upcoming year I will be doing social work in a hospital, I think, unless I don't have the mobility to go all around the hospital.
My symptoms are MS symptoms but weird. Like the vision blurriness I went to the Neuro. for..thought it was ON but since it only happens in the morning and lasts less than a minute and clears up, it doesn't quite seem like ON. I will probably call my dr. and schedule an appt and see if I can have a sleep study done. I have no clue whats going on with me Good luck with the job interview!
