Hi Mandy, just saw this here so sorry so late in replying. I have syringomyelia in my cervical area. I would recommend seeing a specialist to try to find out what caused the syrinx.

There is another website www.asap.org that has alot of answers for your questions plus also some recommended doctors.

I hope you find some answers as I know how frustrating this is. If you have any more questions just ask...Sue
