From reading the descriptions do you think it was a TrP or swollen Lymph node?
Did the PT say what it might be?

it's nice to "pick" the PTs brain while you are getting treated - plus you can find out how much "in depth" knowledge they might have and if they come up lacking after a time you should move on to another. Don't stay with one that is not helping you and especially if they don't listen to your concerns...
Sometimes they will press you to move to the next step before your body is ready, if things are hurting the same or more - it's not working out for you.

Another place or another PT person might be better , look/ask for advanced PTs. Myofascial, posture & TrP knowledge is a plus.
