Here or abroad, this is why employees need to file incident reports for little near-misses at work. . . and write up safety hazards and ergonomic issues when they see them. In fact, make a report each time, and the stack of warnings given by the employees to their employers will help serve as notice. As I am sure you know, Tracey, a paper trail is instrumental in proving the company "knew or should have known" about any issues that could lead to an industrial injury or potential problem.

If workers don't ask for better safety, they will never get it.
