Melody...for the most part..you have described alomst word for word...what I do that actually works with reference to feeling well and losing weight. I would add (and I would guess you would as well) small to moderate portions and regular exercise. I think the thing that surprises me is that a day or two off the wagon...causes great damage. I eat better than many folks out there...but it doesn't take much at all to cause stubborn weight gain. It is very hard...if not impossible...to be perfect. So, the temptation is to go overboard at times...eat tiny portions and/or over exercise. However, I usually regret this. Anyway, I am getting it all worked out. I think the healthy supplements might help to balance things out. I do like very much what you had to say...it provides validation that my thinking is in the right place. Thank you.
