ALS needs a tv add. Not just the name of the disease, but what it does, how quickly it does it, and how it affects the patient. The add also needs to tell how many people it affects each year. A tv add is expensive, and for a psa (do public service announcements even still exist?) the air time would not be prime. Wish we could get some funding to do one on some major stations. A big mistake alot of societies make is they don't make the disease clear to the public, the same goes for the ms adds. They are like "support the walk for ms", but to the average person, they just tune out. Adds need to give more information, and they need to let the public know that they too can be affected.
Wish that idea was possible. Another way would be to make some sort of stickers or fliers with the same information on it. It needs to catch peoples attention as well.
