How come it's SO hard to upload to youtube!!
I mean, it's getting absolutely ridiculous.
I probably mentioned it here before but I just wanted to start another thread because it's getting out of hand. I'm not doing anything different.
I go to youtube, click on the UPLOAD thing, it takes me to a form page, where I fill out what I'm uploading, then it takes me to the page where you click on browse, you go to where your video is ...on your hardrive...then you click on the word UPLOAD, it does the upload just fine....
Then you wait a while, then you go to your account on youtube, and you see if it successfully uploaded.
These are the steps one has to do to upload a video onto YOUTUBE.
I have several videos up on youtube. Oh, I have to mention, that 99% of the when you go to "my videos" on youtube, to check if the processing transaction was successful, well 99% of the time, you will see your video with the words 'Failed to process". This means that while your upload was successful, Youtube failed to process it successfully, SO YOU HAVE TO DO THE WHOLE THING OVER AGAIN.
Usually, I have to do each video at LEAST 5 TIMES, and ONLY THEN, when I go to MY ACCOUNT, AND MY VIDEOS, then THERE IS MY VIDEO AND IT'S MARKED LIVE. That means I can copy and paste the link to the video into any of the message forums that I go to.
But the very last one I did, the other day, was of my Alan's C.R.O.W. boot. He has to wear this expensive boot thing while his foot ulcer heals. I wanted to let people see what a C.R.O.W. boot looks like.
Do you know how many times I had to upload this video to youtube for it to successfully be processed? About 12 times.
It's an avi file (as are ALL my videos). I do the same thing for ALL of them.
Only one time, ONE TIME, did a video upload upload, and then was successfully processed. ONE TIME!!
I was saying to myself. "now how come this happens". I'm not doing anything different. Is it youtube that has the problem??"
If anyone knows if I could do something different while I'm uploading, I'd certainly like to hear about it.
I take these videos with my webcam, they are automatically saved in my "pictures and videos" folder. (I use logitech webcam by the way).
So I just follow the steps when I go to youtube.
But cmon!!!! 12 times to successfully get a video on to youtube???
I must be either doing something wrong, or youtube is trying to drive me crazy.
Anyone else have this problem??
thanks much
Melody
