I found out much after the fact that the EX had threatened my lawyer so she went along with everything that "he" (EX) wanted. I got custody of the child with no house to live in
Bizi and Nikko are right -- talk to another lawyer. It sounds like you weren't fairly represented.
Of course, I don't know all the details of your sitch.
There's another solution, too -- which is the one I was forced to **LEARN** -- call it a REAL EXPENSIVE LESSON and move on. Even our kids said "he uses the house like a **** carrot -- trying to manipulate everyone to do what he wants". As long as you two own property together, the **** will continue. Soon as you get the house out of your reality, you'll get rid of him.
B, even if you don't decide to pursue anything any further, just for your peace of mind, talk with another lawyer to see if there is any way around this.
