So many of the memorials have been so touching. I had tears in my eyes non-stop as I watched this morning's news programs. Tom Brokaw hosted "Meet the Press" and couldn't get through the show without breaking down. My heart goes out to his wife, son and "Big Russ".
A few times over the last 2 days I heard this wonderful quote that Tim used to say:
“The best exercise for the human heart is to bend down and pick someone else up.”
R.I.P. Tim Russert -- he will be sorely missed by so many.

I watched Meet The Press with Brokaw this morning as well. I have to admit that I choked up along with Tom Brokaw. Oh heck, I bawled like a little girl several times during the show! I don't recall crying so much since my own dad died when I was 8 years old. He died young from a heart attack, much like Tim Russert. Maybe the parallels struck me. Regardless of that, there were so many tributes to Tim during the day today, that we know he was loved and respected by colleagues and foes alike. And what greater tribute can be bestowed than that?
