This is so true. We do have safety limitations being online, but much more safety in some ways than we have in real life. There are those limitations wherever we go.

That said, Doc John has close to 15 years experience working online and developing the safest atmosphere possible techically and emotionally...in a general sense. He also gives us great tools for managing our emotionally safety and experiences while here. That's not just something he's done for this forum. That's just Doc John's style. It's a practice that I jumped on and work with in my role as well.

I firmly believe in showing respect in actions at all times. I might disagree with you to the point where I say, "Well, I'm making this decision with your input greatly appreciated, but based on the community guidelines I still need to do what I feel is best in my position and considering the entire community." There are great ways to show disagreement without showing disrespect.

I have an opinion, and we all have opinions. We might not agree and most assuredly won't at times. It doesn't mean any opinion is better than the other, one is right and the others are wrong, etc. Our opinions are truths we've acquired for ourselves based on our life's experiences and learning. We are different and extraordinary in our own ways and our unique situations have brought us together to share and suppport.

Due to the uniqueness and capabilities of individuals and the greatly varied opinions, personalities, beliefs, etc., we have the community guidelines and TOU (which have been specifically put together for this particular community and its members) that we ALL use as a guide which, when it comes to moderation, sets aside alot of opinion as well as personal opinion and beliefs. Action, and direction, is based on the TOU and guidelines as opposed to opinion, mood, likes, dislikes, etc., and it is done privately and with respect.

On the other hand, KD the member has alot of experiences, opinions, beliefs, likes and dislikes that I like to share...respectfully.
