No doubt, your Mom is dealing w/stress right now, Sandy. I remember both my parent's and gr parents wanting everything structured in their life. (Mom much more so than Dad) My Mother would know exactly how much a bill would be and have the check out the door the same day it came in the mail.

I'm kind of a worry wart myself, so can relate a little.
