I have to laugh rather out loud at myself for falling for this, but still microwaves are something to think about for real. We are exposed to them more and more from many different sources including communications equipment, computers, monitors (CRTs with the x-rays(, and other sources.

Keeping these other sources in mind, I think back to my days as a hardware technician where I was exposed to these hazards. I used to fix video terminals including the circuits surrounding the CRT as well as other electronics equipment.
