I was never that fast, but I could do a good 40-50 wpm. Your're not showing your age... I used to run a Varityper typsetter that output to RC paper that had to be developed in a dark room.

THe every-other word thing is the frustrating part because th emind is faster than the fingers. I left some of the typos in this post to show what U';m talking about! Sometimes I have to hit the backspace key at least 3 times on the same word to get it gright.
