Yep, I go without a bra when my spinal lesions act up. In fact, I often can't wear pants, zippers, buttons, seams, a wrinkle in my bed sheet . . .
That feeling can occur where-ever anything, including human touch, accesses the affected body part. For me, the sensation is a cross between burning and being scrubbed down with a steel wool pad.
I know it's the hug if the sensation is felt on the surface, or in the meat under the skin. Internal organs/muscles don't hurt from the hug, at least not for me, but I do a sense of (painful) numbness with the hug too.
