Hi there and Welcome. No one has mentioned this yet (and I have no idea if you've discussed this with your doctor), but some people have the pump implanted (it sends pain meds directly to the nerves).

There are different kinds of pumps.

I just googled it and this link came up. Take a look and you'll get an idea of how pain pumps work.

My husband (who initially thought his neuropathy pain was attributed to his back), saw a back guy and this guy's speciality was the Medtronic implanted pump.

Alan's neuropathy is not from his back so this was not an option for us.

Jerry Lewis had this pump implanted in his spine a long time ago. He marveled at how it helped him. Why not look into this (if you have not done so already).

Here's his story:

Pain is Pain, no matter what the cause. and pain stinks.

I do welcome you to our friendly forums, and hope you find some answers.

Take care,

Melody
