Has he ever seen a neurosurgeon? If not, or if it's been a long time, he should see one ASAP. I don't believe there is a reliable way to shrink the cyst without surgery (I'm just a lifelong neurosurgery patient who reads everything ), but only a nsg can tell you that. It's entirely possible that the cyst in obstructing the flow of fluid to parts of the brain, too, which could trigger the szs. In that case, surgery would be necessary, and he can worsen without it. In any case, only a nsg can tell you whether he'll need surgery or not. Please see one right away.
