Oil Spill in Alaska years ago
Angry. As we pay $4+ dollars at the gas pump, as oil companies net RECORD PROFITS, our Supreme Court OVERRULED A JURY DECISION and cut the punitive damages Exxon should pay to fisheries that still deal with the aftereffects of that calamity.
I guess small business (everything is small when it compared to the oil companies) and our oceans do not warrant punitive damages.
So, while it takes us $50+ just to fill up our gas tanks and we pay more at the grocery store, think long and hard as to who you vote for in the upcoming Presidential election.
Oh boy, there is so much I could say on so many issues. A lot of them affect our pocketbooks.
I want us all to look at our future and the future of our children. The education channel in my area was going through a list of nonprofit (no one is paying for the influence) websites for all of us to make an educated decision on issues that will affect us.
I am going to go back and make a list to help in that respect. More to come.
I was just SO ANGRY that the Supreme Court gave yet another nod to BIG OIL. All you have to do is look at which justice voted yes and which voted no and which political party appointed the judge.
