Default Lots of thoughts?

Mrs D is right about the lidoderm patches...the only thing I find disconcerting about them is that NUMB can become even NUMBER?. Yes, it can cut the pain, but at the same time, if you stub your toe, you mite not be as aware of it. That is why I use them only judiciously and with caution. They DO work tho! Many thanks for those other options as well....They are going to be useful!

Bob? About nerve tests? IF IT HURTS? Please count you blessings! At least you CAN feel it! The last test I'd had I fell asleep as I was having a sleep-deprived test rite before it....Doc/Tech had to wake me up once it was over! I guess I was kind of aware that 'things' were being done to me, but other than that...nada. That was over 3 years ago, and I'd be sort of interested to know if there are any changes.... Often, what I feel I tend to think is some sort of 'nerve memory' and not the real thing...Sigh. It is still a bunch of complaining sensations tho. I'd LIKE to think that nerves ARE regrowing an reconnecting tho...it's a comfort and a source of hope in many ways.

Honestly? I would LOVE TO GO YEOW THAT HURTS!!!!!!!!! Some day, and some day soon! In the meantime, complain away! Those nerves on fire are bad, aggravating them doesn't make it any better. But to know that nerves are there, albiet working imperfectly is a good thing.

Still, make some ribs for your neighbor/tech and stay on good terms, you mite be better treated in the end if all know a- you are a good guy [which WE all know] and b- he's watching over things albeit benignly... Can't hurt? Only HE will benefit and ultimately know!

Hugs to all - j
