This ties in with my bills & collections thread - the after affects of a work comp claim.
Only believe half -or less -of what your comp atty tells you when you are negotiating for a settlement.
Like :
"you can submit any leftover bills to your personal med ins "
yeah right - if the comp case hasn't dragged on beyond their 1 yr time frame.
AND this is a big one-
my pvt med ins - policy excludes paying for any work injury
{still not sure if this means - disputed, denied or accepted only??}
and of course can't seem to get a straight answer from any of the "parties"!
If the above doesn't work- my comp atty said
"you can negotiate a lesser amount to pay the overdue bills"
"I can help you with that" Yeah right!
per the collections lady!
My hosp/billing supposedly does not negotiate for lesser amounts??
baloney I think!
You can see I'm still venting about this part of the WC mess!
other than that I 'm glad to be done, almost, with it!
