Thanks for your help and advice, Kathi49, mrsd, shelley and love2laugh.

I have found all of your advice very helpful and informative so thanks once again.

I get my periods sometimes 20 days (counting from when it starts to when the next one starts), 24 days or 28 days, it depends. Mine are unpredicatable.

The bleeding is quite heavy and can be runny, clotted for one to two days maybe three sometimes.

The pain relieving medications I take are Feminax, Calpol or Nurofen as the pain can get so bad (aches down my legs and back, etc and tummy cramps that put me off my food).

I don't really want to do anything permanent to get stop my periods completely, just temporarily like the Lybril pill. I don't mind having 4 periods a year. I can cope with that. It's having them every month that drains me and I find inconvenient.
