My friend met Paul McCartney at a benefit a few years ago. She knew ahead of time she would be introduced to him, and she was nervous. She had spent some of the best years of her life "in love" with Paul, so she didn't want to embarrass herself. She memorized a dignified welcome to Chicago and cordial greeting.

When the time came to shake his hand, her eyes glazed over and all she could blurt out was "I was in the audience when you came to Chicago in 1964." He smiled at her sweetly and said "Ah yes, I remember you."
