LTD only pays 60% if your lucky and you fight all that time to make ends meet. Yet, let something good like SSDI come through and they want it back. HELLO PEOPLE!!!!!!!! That 60% barely made the bills if you were lucky to have someone else helping pay them!!!!!!

Sorry, it just ****** me off. My mom is about to go LTD and she just got approved for early SS but denied SSDI. I told her to not take a dime of the LTD even if they offer it. Besides, if she did, which she can't, she wouldn't get the lovely income assisted apartment she wants because then she would make too much money. It's all so dumb. As it is now she will have about $500 left over after COBRA and rent to get groceries, meds and copays fr the doctors. Hmmmm.

Momma and anyone else going through this, I am sorry this is happening to you. They should not be allowed to do this to anyone, ever if you paid into it.

I just got my first LTD benefit check today. It couldn't have come at a better time - and it seems like alot at first but I have to remember it's only once a month....

It is 60% of my pay and I'm not complaining! But for those of us who have no other income to fall back on it's inadequate to keep up with all the bills. I'll be paying the rent, car, utilities and groceries before any of the credit cards get their share of it....IF they even do!! I won't have but a few dollars left after all the necessities are paid for.
