nik,

thanks for posting this...

I was just thinking about posting something for my dad...but...you did it so well...thank you!

I loved Donna Reed when I used to watch it on Nick At Night When I was in college...

there was a scene where Jeff had to do a show and Carl Betz(I just love that guy) missed it because he was helping someone else out...

anyways, he sang to his dad and I have not been able to locate that son (it's been close to 20 years since I've been trying to find it.)

Thank goodness to youtube...

It just brought tears to my eyes when I found it yesterday...

to your dad, to my dad, to all that lost their dads...

Click here for "My Dad" from the Donna Reed Show

The lyrics:

My Dad Lyrics
musician: Paul Petersen

He isn't much in the eyes of the world
He'll never make history
No, he isn't much in the eyes of the world
But he is the world to me

My dad, now here is a man
To me he is everything strong
No, he can't do wrong, my dad

My dad, now he understands
When I bring him troubles to share
Oh, he's always there, my dad

When I was small I felt ten feet tall
When I walked by his side
And everyone would say "That's his son"
And my heart would burst with pride

My dad, oh I love him so
And I only hope that some day
My own son will say
"My dad now here is a man"
