We don't have it here, so I am no help! My kids watch Disney channel so they do get into some of the American stuff and they always ask if they can go trick or treating! We do reverse trick or treating, they take lollies (candy) and visit neighbors all dressed up and offer them the lollies!!! I have been teaching my son some tricks incase someone says they don't want the lollies and he can do a 'trick'!!!!

One year I had some teenagers come trick or treating to our house, as I had young kids I didn't have any lollies in the house (if I did they got eaten in a flash). So I said that I was really sorry, I didn't have anything (only healthy stuff or perhaps a plain biscuit). I don't think they believed me, they came back later and smashed all our garden lights . Sometimes I would much prefer that these things don't cross country's! Tell me, I would love to know, what on earth ever started the halloween tradition?
