So is the operation/business only going to be open four days, or are they staggering people so that it is open the 5th (or all 7) days?

I think it would be very inconvenient for the public if this meant they closed every Friday or Monday.

I couldn't even get through a 4 hr work day now , but before I 'medically retired', I almost always worked at least a 10 - 14 hr day. I didn't necessarily do it at my place of business, but would take lots home with me. I'm not so sure I would do that if I HAD to stay in the office for 10 hrs, and then I got one day off. I'd definitely not be working that one day off . . . so I think my employers would have lost out on that deal.

I guess it really depends on the job, as far as whether I think this is a productive and healthy option. It probably wouldn't be too bad in a desk/administrative job, and most people would probably like the shorter week . . . but as a consumer, I would prefer that some professions are more rested and recharged.

Our nurses work 12 hr shifts, and I think that's TOO long. Ever tried to ask a tired nurse for assistance?
