Default Trying to get comfortable

Hi all,

I've had adult on-set non-genetic spinal muscular atrophy for 11 years now. This disease affects all the muscles in my body and I have been gradually losing weight over the years. Prior to my illness I weighed 130 pounds. I've been hanging in there up until last winter and that was a nightmare. I am down to 88 pounds and I must say, it's not pretty.

My problem is this. When I lie/lay down at night I can feel every bone in my body. Ribs, hip bones, back bones all feel like I'm resting on cement. My mattress is fairly new and I have a new mattress pad but there just seems like there is something else I could do. I am still independent and live alone (widow). Has anyone gone through this? Any ideas?

Thanks,

Susan
