You could try to paint the walls that are protruding and the one's that are inset a different color with the flat walls a contrasting color Earl and Laura. I see some columns that stick out and areas that go in like in back of your entertainment center. My living room and kitchen are built the same. I would leave the vaulted ceilings in white to keep the feel of height.

I am thinking of painting the lower half of my living room a darker color and the upper a lighter color (I have a chair rail dividing the walls). Then in the kitchen I am thinking about painting the walls the darker color all over with the soffits in the lighter color or visa versa to give it separation.

Hope that makes sense! Good luck and have fun. I always feel like we are living in a new house when we paint. lol

What a delightful Area. I can see different shades of orange and green to brighten up that living area.
