It was probably from the weight of the wooden sole -- those things were heavy!!!

This summer I retrieved my old Birkenstock sandals from my closet. They're pretty ratty looking but they're still SOOO comfortable!!

I guess this shoe talk is better suited for the Stumble Inn but I remembered this thread being here so I wanted to update after I heard the foot pros weigh in.
