I saw that last night too! They don't do what they are said to do according to 20/20. It was an interesting segment.

Both DDs have pronation in their feet (where the foot turns in). These would certainly not be good for them. It would cause too much strain on their ankles and thus ankle sprains.

No that one waitress did say that they were comfortable and yet the other lady had to cut the top as she has a high arch. I too have a high arch and would never pay $50 on shoes and have to cut them. I am guessing that so many were sold due to the comfort that the waitress claimed to have felt when she wore them.

All in all, we won't be buying them in this house. We'll stick with out $5 flip flops from Target.
