Okay (she says, with glazed eyes and slack jaw), so if I just want to make sure I save all my files, pictures, etc., all I need is an external hard drive and a cord to hitch it to my computer, right?

And will that save all my Outlook stuff, inbox and message folders, etc.? Or is that another chapter...
