I'm glad that you are having a sleep apnea test done. I have a brother that has sleep apnea but he's never had a single sz. his Dr. has him on a breathing object (I'm not sure what it's called) because when he tries to sleep he snores so loud and he stops breathing, then he can't get to sleep but since he's been using the breathing object it's helped him greatly. I know there are different form of sleep apnea and it can lead to sz. for some people. I have also wondered if you may have narcolepsy which could answer the questions as to why you wake up scared or frightened sometimes.
