I was just going to say my parents used whiskey too! I used it on my oldest when Oragel wasn't in the house. I am not condoning it, just saying it is no surprise that old time remedies sometimes don't have the side effects newer drugs do. One remedy I always used was wet washcloths in the freezer. I think both my kids walked and crawled with washcloths hanging out of their mouths for months! lol
Do any of you remember your mom throwing rubbing alcohol on you when your had a fever? I do. Wow, I never did that because the doctor scared the bejeesus out of me about it. lol
