Anne, you could just get out your phonebook and look for video-production services. They can convert the DVD to NTSC and burn it to a new disc for you.

In the states, I usually pay about $20 to have PAL DVDs converted for me.

If the recipient is not computer savvy and has to jump through a bunch of hoops to see it, is it still a gift????
