I was sooo hoping they would work. And, yes, it is normal to have an increase in pain before the steroids kick in. You might have to have them done periodically but it sure beats surgery and a ton of meds! And sometimes you can get months of relief...it just depends. Now, just go easy and try not to lift anything too heavy.
