I just posted my daughter's hyperbarics/rsd testimonial under another thread (remission through hyperbarics). We have learned a lot about these treatments as we have gone along, and I would be very happy to answer any questions that I can. I believe with all my heart that hyperbarics would help many RSD sufferers; but tragically most are never given the opportunity to receive them.

As written in Sarah's testimonial, her initial treatments were at 2.5 ATA. As she went along, they were reduced to 2.0 ATA because the deeper treatments became too fatiguing. I have recently read of others being treated at even deeper depths than she was; but I would certainly want to be sure that treatments were being done in a reputable facility because of the risk of oxygen toxicity and other complications.

Purchasing a mild chamber for our home has allowed Sarah to remain in remission. I believe that her home chamber is approximately 1.4 ATA. I suspect that it is like most any other drug, you probably should not receive a higher dose than is necessary.

I believe that there is a program where arrangements can be made for payments made in a clinical setting (up to $6,000 ??) to be applied towards the purchase of a home chamber, if that proves to be the best course of action. I understand that it needs to be arranged prior to starting treatments ... unfortunately we were not aware of this at the time.

I wish you much success in your search for help. Please let me know if I can provide further information.

Jeanne
