I'm sorry for your experience because I can almost feel your pain.
In regards to your questions at your neurology appointment I think it would be more appropriate that you take a list of things that have happened to you during and since the venpuncture, so that you both have a basis for your consult. If you really want to question the neurologist, you could use this to list your questions from.
I also would also be hesitant to take a lawyer along to an ititial visit. I'd have thought that his/her presence would put anyone on their guard, especially some-one like a medical practitioner.
If you really want a witness to the converstaion, take a close relative with you instead. JMHO.
