Miniature golf tournament to benefit ALS charity

TINTON FALLS - The Rock & Roll Music Fund will host its first miniature golf tournament to benefit Joan Dancy and PALS, which is dedicated to helping people living with Lou Gehrig's disease.

The event will be held at Twin Brook Golf Center in Tinton Falls beginning at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 28. The outing will include commentary by radio personality Big Joe Henry, live music all day by Pat Guadagno and friends, with contests, lunch and miniature golf. The entry fee of $300 per foursome, includes a round of miniature golf, foursome photo, lunch, refreshments and a gift bag. Contests include a chance to win a new car, courtesy of Barry's Rittenhouse Kerr Shrewsbury. A par-3 hole at Twin Brook is also part of the day's events.

Joan Dancy and PALS helps patients of the disease and their families cope with the struggles of ALS by providing direct aid with medical issues not covered by insurance, as well as providing financial assistance to enhance the quality of life of ALS patients. Building wheelchair ramps, enlarging doorways, and adjusting cabinets are among the projects that PALS has made possible. For more information about Joan Dancy and PALS, visit the Web site www.joandancyandpals.com.
