Jan,

My stretches are simple, and I repeat them often every day. This is what I do:

1) sit on the ground with my legs out in front of me and grab by toes, and pull them toward my chest for 30 seconds. This stretches the calf muscle. Repeat three times before getting up.

2) laying on your side, grab your foot and slowly pull it toward your back (like you are trying to put your own foot on your back). Go as far as you can and hold it for 30 seconds. Do that three times and then switch to the other leg. This streches the quad.

3) while sitting in a chair or on the ground, turn your torso as far as you can in on direction without moving your lower body. You will feel resistence in your side (oblique muscles). Go as far as you can and hold it for 30 seconds. Then turn the other way and stretch your other side the same way.

Those are the main 3 that I do. I hope this helps.
