All this Thermometers talk got me thinking...I dug out mine. It is a Vicks.

It beeped when I pushed the button and reads 188.8 and then --- and then I take the temp...seconds later..beep..beep...beep...beep and it reads 96.8

Holy Cow! That's way below normal!

Maybe it doesn't work?
