Versed is a wonderful drug, IMO. I cannot imagine anyone enduring 12 extractions at one time without some kind of true sedation...adult extractions can be tricky, as the tooth can split, and that makes it more difficult.

The only downside I experienced was that I had to pay for the sedation (not that I would have let that stand in the way of my sleeping through the entire procedure).
