Hi there I started a thread for your about insomnia and reposted this comment from you so that others could find it.

I have been having trouble sleeping for over three years now and after trying several over the counter meds I finally went to my doctor and he gave me rozeram. I have only been on it for two nights now but it is not helping at all. I even took two tonight about three hours apart and I am still awake. I have noticed that several people have said that it hasn't worked for them and two people that I know personally have said the same thing. What I want to know is if it doesn't work why are doctors still prescribing it to people? I don't know about some of you but I seriously need something that works. I will go 4 or 5 days on 1 or 2 hours of sleep a night and then finally be so tired that I can't function. I have four kids and I can't keep going like this anymore. My mother in law gave me one of her ambian last week and it literally made me sick. My poor husband had a mess to clean up because I was so out of it I couldn't function. Does anyone have any suggestions about what would be the best thing to ask my doctor for?
